OpenEmbedded
OpenEmbedded (OE) is a powerful development and customizing tool for mobile and embedded devices. It is used to build binary packages and complete filesystem images for various devices using the bitbake task executor. OE has a huge knowledge base about open source software - where to get sources, how to configure these for cross compilation and how to package the results efficiently. OE is used by several Linux distributions such as Ångström, OpenSlug and JLime und in multiple companies.
I take care about the GPE componets in OE and add support for new devices from time to time. I have started to write an OE tutorial, but this is in a very early stage and my free time is very limited.
